Under The Crab-apple Tree

a tale of two dogs

The first, a gentle, pleasant, albeit “special” at times, big yellow mutt of a dog. His contentment to laze under the crab-apple tree, interrupted only on the rare occasion when a butterfly would land on his snout.

On the other hand.

Wilful, stubborn, strong as an ox, this brown and white bruiser with the crazy eyes has an attention span of 2.3 seconds at best. His afternoon spent tearing apart garbage bags in the garage, consuming almost an entire log of firewood, followed by a snack consisting of one angry wasp. Which, judging by the 5 minutes of howling and whining that ensued, I’m guessing hurt like a motherfucker.

Those are not especially relaxing events. And they took less than an hour!

Bloody hell!
