Foreshadowing in paradise

We crossed the Gulf Stream to a glorious day on the island of Grand Bahama, snorkeling and sun, but this photo captures something more I felt encroaching the entire journey.

He wasn’t sure about us, he admitted.

His friends told him to wait at least 6 months; we had been dating for seven. He just didn’t know.

This photo captures what hung over us.

I was on a flight out the next day.

The weather had nothing to do with it.
