Langurs hang around my place conscience-like, watching everything I do. I have to keep asking myself, “Am I doing right by them” ?

This Malabar squirrel was sitting on the tallest tree I’ve seen in Wayanad, Kerala. Yes, it’s not himalayan. This is zoomed in pretty much

Choughs are corvids — sometimes they are the only companions you’ll get on a high altitude trek.

Saw these Himalayan giant honey bee hives or cliff bee hives (Apis dorsata laboriosa) on a trek to the Valley of Flowers. The honey is hard to get too and pretty toxic if consumed in large quantities.

A pic of my daughter, as she takes in the expanse of the Himalaya on a family trek.

A desert home with fragrant herbs drying on the roof in a village in Spiti. Loved the contrast of 3 colours.

A langur enjoying the sun ‘n’ a snooze.

Deodars — tree of the Gods (Cedars) from a recent trip to Himachal

The beautiful Himalayan buzzard taken from my porch.

When the super moon revealed some super silhouettes created by oak leaves.
