How to add friends on Snapchat
You can add friends on Snapchat in 6 ways.
Click on Add friends to start adding.
1-Add by User name — if you know the username of your friend you can simply type it in the search box e.g. mine is igruszka (although I go with SuPear to stick to my brand. It’s a bit tricky as for search you use the name that is next to the score number.
The above is what’s called a Name and it’s how you apPEAR to other snapchat users.
2-Add from Address Book — when you create your profile on Snapchat, the app will ask you if it can access your Address Book. Because users are verified by their phone #, you can see who has Snapchat account among your friends.
3-Add by Snapcode — If you are on your phone and see a Snapcode somewhere in your browser or on Instagram, take a screenshot of the snapcode of the person you want to add. Then select “Add by snapcode”. It will take you to your Camera Roll. Select the SnapCode. The app will scan it and ask you if you want to add that person. Easiest way to add people if you ask me.
4-Add Nearby — if you are near someone you want to add, ask them to open “Add nearby” in order for you to add them (although I think just scanning their snapcode (#5 below) is much easier.
5-Scan the snapcode- open Snapchat and scan the code that you see on other device — phone, computer, a newspaper. You have to press and hold. The pop-up will show you options to add a friend.
6-Share Username — simply share your Snapchat handle with friends via Messenger/Email/Twitter/ Facebook sending them your unique url. The receiver you have sent it too should open it on their mobile device to add you as a SnapFriend.
