What’s New in SnapStream 9.0
A few of the highlights:
- New Web Player
- Amazon S3 Video Folders
- Single Sign-On
New Web Player
SnapStream 9.0 features a redesigned, more efficient Web Player packed with several exciting new features! Now, you can create your clips while still watching your recording, clip or live event. Compose and refine your social media clips and research, post or queue without navigating through multiple popups.
Now you can adjust the playback rate. Slow down to see something you might have missed or speed up to skim through a long recording.
The new Web Player allows you to crop your clips to square (1:1) and vertical (9:16) aspect ratios for better engagement across all social media platforms, including Instagram and Snapchat. 16:9 and 4:3 are included as well. The new cropping functionality allows you to select a region of the video to crop out, so you can focus on the speaker’s face and eliminate non-related chyrons.
We’ve included a new Web Player Tour that starts the first time you play a recording, clip or live stream. In addition, we will be holding a training session to help you get the most out of the new Web Player and to assist you in training your teams.
Amazon S3 Video Folders
In SnapStream 9.0, you can use S3 storage as a video folder in SnapStream. Search, play, clip, share and post to social media all from S3.
Expecting users to remember multiple usernames and secure passwords is near impossible. That’s why most organizations use a single sign-on service to allow users to remember only one username and password. In previous versions of SnapStream, you could use Active Directory and other LDAP services to achieve this with SnapStream. With SnapStream 9.0, you can use third-party providers like Ping and Okta. Any SAML 2.0 identity provider will work.
SnapStream 9.0 brings a lot more to your organization. Receive warnings when cable and satellite boxes have stopped working, limit clip duration globally to avoid filling up too much storage, and more. Please take a look at the release notes for a complete list of new features, improvements, and fixes.
