Junior college All-American and Northern Oklahoma College Enid guard Ty Lazenby will sign with the Sooners.

The former Glencoe High (Okla.) hoops standout announced his decision on Twitter.

Lazenby averaged 22.9 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists per contest last season, earning First-Team All-American honors. He shot 45 percent from the field and 86 percent from the charity stripe.

According to a release, the 6-foot-5 guard’s 22.9 points per game ranked sixth among National Junior College Athletic Association players. He broke the 20 point threshold in 20 of 29 contests and produced seven 30-point performances.

Lazenby will join a group of newcomers that already includes point guard Trae Young and big men Brady Manek and Hannes Polla. The Sooners have one scholarship remaining.
