Greetings to the Snip community!

As 2018 comes to an end, it’s a good time to reflect on the past year and look forward towards 2019.

We started the year with guns blazing - hiring engineering talent, enlisting external writers, listing SNIP on Qryptos (Liquid), building a publishing and distribution platform, and creating dozens of news stories every day. Unfortunately, we found that we were unable to gain a significant audience on snip.today and on the Snip Android and iPhone apps. We then focused our attempts on applying machine learning for content distribution, an attempt which was partially successful but fundamentally not enough to be considered a growth strategy.

In November, we changed our go-to-market strategy and we’re now focusing on a relatively small audience - the thriving machine learning (ML) community. We created LyrnAI, a platform where people can publish summaries of recent machine learning papers, allowing more people to read and understand them. The responses to LyrnAI have been excellent and usage has been constantly growing. Our current focus is to create even more content and distribute it to increasingly more people in the ML community. We expect that growing Lyrn.ai will be our primary focus in the upcoming months, with the aim of making it the number one destination for professional AI content. From there, we aim to grow to increasingly more professional fields.

We will continue to update and are happy to hear feedback from the community. For advice, questions, and clarifications you’re welcome to ping us on Telegram.

Happy new year!
