Greetings to the Snip community!

In June we shipped several key features which improve the experience for readers — the new “Explained” format, a newsletter, a new Snip iOS app, notifications, and many others. In July, we’ll be using this infrastructure to increase engagement and offer a more compelling product.

Content and Usage
In June we saw increased daily usage and received positive feedback for the Android and iOS app. We also launched “Explained,” a new format which explains current news events in a clear and succinct manner.

Our next step is to combine short news reports with the Explained posts to provide full coverage of unfolding news events. Our goal is to help users both understand the news and stay updated on the topics they care about. In July, fully covering a limited group of topics will be a team focus.

Mobile Apps and Website
In June we released a new and beautiful iOS app and moved to a new website infrastructure which allows us to add features quickly. We also now send a weekly newsletter with top snippets and set up a notifications infrastructure in both Android and iOS.

Using and trading SNIP
SNIP trading on Qryptos is still going strong, with a relatively small spread between buy and sell bids. We still plan to add an additional exchange in H2 2018, as well as list on Bancor. An important consideration for exchange choice is volume and evolving cryptocurrency regulations. It’s important to expend the effort and funds for an exchange listing with an exchange that’ll stand the test of time.

As always, our top priority is not exchange listings but increasing usage of the Snip product, which will increase usage of the SNIP token.

Hiring
Our employee headcount stayed constant in June. The current team size allows us to rapidly iterate on the product and quickly add features to the apps and website. Company leadership is continuing to spend most of its time on improving user acquisition and user retention. The best way to achieve that is by building ’sticky’ features that users repeatedly engage with.

We’re always on the lookout for great people. If you’re a talented engineer or a great marketing & community lead, we’re hiring! Contact us at jobs@snip.today.

In sum, in June we built infrastructure which will allow us to build useful and exciting features for users in the upcoming months. The Explained feature allows us to provide more value for users, increasing the chance that they’ll become frequent Snip users. We will continue to update and are happy to hear feedback from the community. For advice, questions, or clarifications, you’re welcome to ping us on Telegram.
