Snip — November Update
Greetings to the Snip community! The token sale ended a month ago and much has happened since. It’s important for us to constantly update and engage the community, and therefore we’ll be sending you a monthly update with details about the team’s progress. It’s important for us to emphasize that even when we’re not chatting with you on Telegram, we’re constantly working on improving the Snip platform and making it more successful.
On to the updates:
Token Dispatch
A few days after the sale, all tokens were distributed to token sale buyers, airdrop accounts, and bounty winners. All token sale buyers received a price adjustment from 76250 ETH/SNIP to 112050 ETH/SNIP, a change designed to give the sale buyers a larger share of the SNIP pool.
SnipCoin Integration
Two weeks ago we integrated SnipCoin in the platform, and now users can tip writers as appreciation for great content as well as purchasing a podcast subscription. Over time, SnipCoin will become an increasingly integral part of the ecosystem.
iOS App Development
Snip’s most important market is the US and the iPhone is the most important platform in the country. Therefore, our first mobile app is an iOS app which allows people to engage with news snippets on the go in a convenient way.
The app is currently in development and we’ve already released the alpha version for testing. A newer version will be released in a few days, with UI improvements, commenting, and more. We’ll also be adding a SnipCoin wallet to the app, allowing users to use SnipCoin conveniently and follow their balance. A similar Android app is also in planning.
Writers Web App
Writers are an important part of the Snip ecosystem, creating the Snip content that we all enjoy. To help them create more high-quality content faster, we’ve built a web app which allows them to create and submit content. We’re constantly improving this app and today are adding the option to publish stock photos from Shutterstock and Getty Images.
Content Growth
We are currently publishing 2–3 snippets a day, but are planning to gradually advance to more than 15 snippets a day over the next 2 months. This will allow us to cover more topics in a more timely fashion. In order to achieve this goal, we’ll be on-boarding more than a dozen new writers to the platform.

Making it easier to buy and sell SnipCoin
In the past month, SnipCoin was added to EtherDelta and RadarRelay, providing token holders with an easier way to buy and sell tokens. We expect that support for SnipCoin will grow in the future, allowing for easier buying and selling of tokens.
