We love Excel at Snipply, and we’re not the only ones. Microsoft Excel is one of the most used software applications of all time, and the most used spreadsheet editor of all time, with over 30 million active users worldwide. It’s at the heart of many of our jobs, and while we may know enough to get by, there are always areas we can improve. A great way to do this is through video tutorials, with Youtube being a great place to start.

Let’s take a look through some of the best Youtube Excel resources you can start using today.

Motion Training

MotionTraining provides tutorials and guides for users of the entire Microsoft suite and is a great place to start your Excel journey since the beginner video is only nine minutes long, and it has visuals for you to follow along. The beginner’s course has multiple sections, which allows you to break it into pieces that are easy to digest.

If you end up really liking the content, you can own the complete set of Excel tutorials (60 tutorials in total) by going to the Download page on their site. The complete set along with practice files and some exclusive content is available as a single download file.

TeachExcel

Another great Youtube channel, TeachExcel has walkthroughs of all of the steps required to do simple tasks in excel up to more complicated tasks and concepts. Topics include Graphs, Formatting, Worksheet Security, Macros Guides, Formulas, and more. They release multiple videos a week in both long and short formats and have over a dozen playlists covering topics within larger categories.

ExcelIsFun

This is a pretty expansive channel that has been around for over 11 years. They have over 3,200 Excel “How To” videos from beginner to advanced, including downloadable Excel files to practice and pdf notes to summarize concepts. While it can seem like a lot, they have playlists that make it easier to learn with a class-like tempo. Mike Girvin, the channel owner, has authored multiple books on Excel and is a college professor, which lends to the tone and pace of all of the tutorials and resources.

Excel Campus

Excel Campus owner, Jon Acampora, covers tutorial style videos on a wide range of Excel topics including formulas, pivot tables, macros, VBA, charts, dashboards, Power Query, Power Pivot, Power BI, and more. He also has a blog, and a weekly newsletter that provides a ton of great content— http://www.excelcampus.com/newsletter/

Leila Gharana

Leila’s channel is focused on teaching advanced Excel techniques, along with accounting and finance workflows. Her tips and trick will help you significantly improve your Excel reports — not just in terms of analysis but also visualization & VBA automation. She posts a new video every Thursday — with frequent bonus videos on Tuesdays.
