Snips is an AI company that does not collect end-user data
Being Private-by-design means that our team is imposing limits on itself, which inherently limits our ability to do research or improve the algorithms. Fortunately, a lot of people have shown great interest in helping on that front by volunteering datasets. This is why we created SEEDS, a server-side platform that lets you contribute your data for research purposes!
Your contribution
Right now, SEEDS only processes one type of data: order confirmation emails, such as restaurants, hotels, airlines, taxis or online shops. This dataset will help us improve NLP/NLU processing.
Giving Back
Once the dataset grows big enough, we will process it and make it available as Open Data, so that anyone can use it to build cool products and complement their own research!
Privacy
As with any project we undertake, protecting your privacy is of key importance to us. Here is what you should expect when you connect your Google email account to SEEDS:
• order confirmation data from your emails are downloaded, the rest is left untouched;
• your data is anonymized;
• your data is processed by computers, not humans;
• your authentication token is immediately deleted.
