Streamlit in Snowflake: Generally available for AWS, Azure commercial

We’re excited to kick off the general availability announcements of Streamlit in Snowflake on AWS and Azure commercial deployments! In case you missed its public preview announcement, we’ve combined Streamlit, the widely-used open source library, into a fully managed and governed service within Snowflake. Python developers can start increasing the impact of their work by building apps that bridge the gap between data and actionable insights for business teams without adding any ops burden to IT teams. Since September, thousands of customers have created tens of thousands of data applications using Streamlit in Snowflake.

A few advantages that apply when using Streamlit in Snowflake:

  • Bring ML Models to Life: Use Python scripts to turn data and ML models into interactive applications that empower business stakeholders to self-serve insights and gain trust in results.
  • Iterate with Speed: Use the side-by-side editor and app preview screen to quickly add, adjust or remove components. Modify your code and see changes in the app right away.
  • From Dev to Prod in One Click: Single click to deploy in Snowflake’s scalable and reliable infrastructure. Leverage existing access control policies to share an app’s URL.

What’s next?

Upcoming general availability to be announced (stay tuned on Medium as we provide updates on the following):

  • Private Link support for Azure, AWS
