The Way to a Transparent and Trusted ICO Official Sponsor
snowMakers officially sponsored the ‘Transparent and Trusted ICO’ seminar at Dreamplus Gangnam on February 12. The seminar was hosted by CoinDesk Korea, a blockchain-specialized media, Singapore-based consulting and accelerator JengaK.
At the seminar, the speakers presented a clearer legal guideline on ICO and specific criteria for accounting and taxation on cryptographic assets. How blockchain startups can gain trust from investors and regulators was also discussed.
The seminar began with a congratulatory video of Democratic Party’s Rep. Min Byung-Doo (Chairman, National Assembly’s Political Affairs Committee) and a congratulatory message from Kim Eui-Hyung, President, Korean Accounting Standards Board. Ahn Soo-Hyun, Professor, Graduate School of Law at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, announced the topic of ‘Protection of Secured Assets Investors and Policy Directions: Convergence to Securities Regulations’ and Lawyers Chung Ho-Suk and Chun Joon-Beom of Seum, respectively, ‘For Normalizing Unusual Contract Relations’ and ‘Analysis of the Legality of the ICO Project Model.’
Ahn Tae-Hyun, a JengaK partner, recently announced an update to ICO guidelines announced by the Singapore Monetary Authority and Desmond Teo, a partner at the EY (Ernst and Young) Financial Service Office (FSO) Tax Sector, announced the ICO Accounting Guidelines.
snowMakers participated as the official sponsor of the seminar to strengthen our preparations for the snowMakers’ own token issuance process. The project will reflect current information on legal issues in the process of ICO progress and accounting and tax treatment for encrypted assets.
