Songs for Snow — Song Snippets
As some of you may have noticed, it’s snowing. I’m sure people have differing opinions on the snow, so today I’m going to offer you a couple of options for your musical response. Whether you’re out making snow angels or huddling by the fire waiting for winter to be over, I’ve got a song for you!
For the Snow Lovers
Darlene Love’s Marshmallow World is a song you may have heard around recently. It’s been used on a few commercials, but generally, it’s just a really fun song! Take a look at some of the lyrics:
It’s a marshmallow world in the winter
When the snow comes to cover the ground
It’s a time for play, it’s a whipped creme day
I wait for it all year round
Combine that with the light, bouncy tune, and it’s the perfect song to be playing if you’ve been waiting for this all year round, too!

For those who are ready for Spring
Seth MacFarlane and Norah Jones combine for a charming rendition of Little Jack Frost Get Lost. It laments winter, arguing that it does nothing useful.
You know you don’t do a thing but put a bite on my toes
Freeze up the ground and take the bloom from the rose
They also state that it’s keeping everyone inside and no one is very happy about it. It ends up being a great song if you’re already ready for winter to end.
There’s lots of cold feet, all the lovers complain
You turn off the heat down in lover’s lane
Well, whichever side you fall on, hopefully you can enjoy listening to some good music, and keep safe in this storm!
