STEP 1: Sign up for a video sharing app

Of course we recommend Soaq because we built it and our clients already use it for on-demand meetings. Naturally, you are free to use other video services that your company may have.

STEP 2: Record Intro to Meeting Video

Using your smartphone, record a video of you speaking to the agenda and close it off with the ASK. It might sound something like this:

“Hello everyone, here’s the agenda for today’s meeting. We are starting with last week’s numbers, followed by this week’s action plans and we’ll close with our updated goal for the month. Please send me your meeting updates via video by noon.”

STEP 3: Upload Video

This take seconds. Watch this video to see how quick it is on Soaq.

STEP 4: Share (and Tag Video)

There are a few ways to do so, you just need to find the way that suits you and your team best. Here are a few.

#1: If you’re using Soaq, it will allow you to build out your team in advance. It will also automatically notify your team when new videos are added. Don’t forget to tag the video with the meeting date and topic. This will string all related videos together.

#2: The classic method is email….you simply copy and paste the link of your video onto your typical email blast. Not the edgiest way, but it works for some.

#3: You can share the video via text message by copying and pasting the link.

Avoid These Delivery Methods

#1: Store the video in the cloud or a shared drive and ask the team to search for it. Shared drives and content management systems are not always user friendly, especially when accessing from a mobile device.

#2: Recording your video on your smartphone, keeping it stored on your smartphone and sharing it through text message or email. For best results, the video would need to be hosted somewhere that’s accessible prior to sharing. If not, then you might end up sending a blurred video or small image.

Keep Costs Down

Whatever option you decide, keep costs down by using tools you likely already have and apps that have a free offering. Our app has a free package that’s free for life — so you can do more than just test — click here to learn more or sign up in seconds right here.

There you have it — an effective, modern and more human way to communicate with your team(s). Don’t hesitate to try. If you’re like our clients, you’ll find it faster and more convenient.
