Drone Photography in Europe: A trip around some of the best destinations

Whether you’re looking to shoot the white sands of a Portuguese beach or a beautiful cathedral in Poland, there are a number of amazing places you can go and explore with your drone. This article only includes a small number of these places.

Quinta da Regaleira, Portugal

Quinta da Regaleira is filled with character, history and stunning natural scenery, making it the perfect place to fly your drone. It is located near the historic center of Sintra and classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. You can also visit places like Quinta do Relógio, Pena, Monserrate and Seteais palaces.

Santorini Island, Greece

If you prefer a mix of multicolored cliffs, whitewashed buildings and a romantic blue sea then head to Santorini Island. A beautiful place for excellent drone photography, where you can find amazing panoramas and dazzling sunsets. While you are there, you can also explore Firá, together with Oia, Imerovígli and Firostefáni located high above on a cliff.

Dubrovnik, Croatia

Are you a Game of Thrones fan? Then head to Croatia. Dubrovnik has been a prominent Game of Thrones filming location since Season 2 and the Croatian city is the photographer’s dream. The aerial view of the beach and the red roofs of the city’s buildings is amazing and you can walk along the ancient, walled medieval city on the Adriatic Sea. A must see for drone lovers.

Lofoten Islands, Norway

With dramatic, imposing beauty everywhere you look, Norway’s Lofoten islands are like nowhere else on earth. It’s one of the most beautiful parts of Norway, and known for the natural beauty of their mountains and peaks that hide many surprises. From idyllic fishing villages to remarkable beaches that seem so out of place in Arctic Norway, Lofoten has it all for true drone photographers.

Gullfoss, Iceland

Gullfoss is one of Iceland’s most iconic and beloved waterfalls. It literally means “Golden Falls”. It’s not just another waterfall, its one of Iceland’s most iconic sights. Visiting Gullfoss is unique because you view the waterfall from above instead of below. Bring in your drone and do the most beautiful photos you can while your here!

Valletta, Malta

Valletta is a unique capital city. It’s strategic geographic location places it between Europe and Africa and it’s amazing historical heritage, makes it an excellent place for drone lovers.

Positano, Italy

Positano is a beautiful, little beach town in Italy, famous for its colorful buildings, excellent restaurants, and ideal location on the Amalfi Coast for drone enthusiasts. It’s a lovely place to enjoy your drone and take pics from the sky. Enjoy the sunset, the buildings and take the best shots possible.
