This partnership enables the delivery of imagery from various satellites via the Soar platform and will be just one step in implementing Soar’s goal of a global super-map that can suit users seeking imagery at every scale required across of range of sensor types.

“This is an exciting step forward for Soar’s global super-map strategy” said Amir Farhand, CEO and founder of geospatial Australian start-up Soar. “This alliance will allow us to include access to all mapping systems including daily satellite imagery feeds and in the future to incorporate not only aerial imagery, but also incredible content collected by the global drone community.”

“A combination of global Sentinel-2 coverage updated every few days with super resolution of drone imagery gives to Soar users the best of both worlds — immediate access to medium resolution data everywhere and on-demand detailed imagery coming from drones” stated Grega Milcinski, CEO and co-founder of Sinergise. “Users can therefore get a high-level assessment of their area of interest promptly making it easier to decide whether to ask for higher price drone imagery. Having all datasets in the one place opens opportunities for data fusion and intriguing machine learning tasks such as change detection, automatic monitoring and warning system for precision farming and tons of other possibilities”.

Gabriel Mavrellis CEO Geospatial Enabling Technologies (GET), distributor of Sinergise technology to the Australian and Asian markets, “the Sentinel hub allows the implementation of satellite data seamlessly and effortlessly in any GIS application and supports powerful WMS features. This provides monitoring capacity for sectors related to evaluating climate changes impacts and atmosphere surveying as well as disaster management and among exciting applications”.
