The market for unmanned systems is constantly evolving, which is why industry professionals gather at new international events where the future of unmanned systems is shaped by industry leaders, system vendors, law makers, academics, end users and many others. Here are five distinctive and international drone shows from around the globe that are not to be missed.

1. Commercial UAV Expo

Both a conference and an exhibition, Commercial UAV welcomed 2350 commercial attendees at its fourth annual event this year at the Westgate Resort in Las Vegas. The exhibition counted no less than 168 different exhibitors from 22 different countries, divided over 230 booths. The event focuses on markets such as surveying and mapping, civil infrastructure, mining, construction, utilities, emergency response and precision agriculture. A European edition of the event will take place in Amsterdam, The Netherlands in April of 2019.

2. Intergeo

Intergeo is the world’s largest event for geodesy, geoinformation and land management. It is held every year at different venues in Germany and consists of a conference and three-day trade fair. The latest edition was held in Frankfurt and 19,000 visitors from over 100 countries. Drones now have their own platform at the exposition that combines an expo, forum and flight zone that is named Interaerial Solutions, which also features a special prize that honors drone-based solutions that address the global goals set forth in the UN Agenda 2030.

This year, the Intergeo was combined with another drone event called the European Drone Summit. This one-day drone conference offered individuals from the fields of politics, law-making, research, industry and business a chance to discuss the way forward for achieving acceptance and devising solutions for safe and effective commercial use of unmanned aircraft in Europe. The European Drone Summit was hosted by UAV DACH e.V., the Association for Unmanned Aircraft Systems that counts 185 members in four different countries.
