What is soccerlit.com?
For starters, it curates soccer stories
soccerlit.com is a website that curates the internet’s best soccer stories. Does that sound too tagline-y? It does, doesn’t it? It’s supposed to be a tagline, though, so maybe that’s okay? I don’t know. Maybe I’ll change it. Eventually.
Anyway…hey! My name’s Mitch and I created soccerlit.com. To be honest, the idea to collect stories rather than create them stemmed from a realization that I couldn’t write consistent enough content to power a site on my own.
So after about a year of trying to write my own stories, I decided to instead collect the ones I admired and share them on Twitter. The stories were, up until recently, housed on a Squarespace site I made in May 2016, but they’ve since moved to a brand new WordPress site I’m currently putting the final touches on.
Now that I’m nearly two years into this Soccerlit project and have two team members on board, I figured I should start documenting the journey. With that said, I hope this will become a space where all of the crazy ideas in my head will be spoken into existence.
