Don’t go to the Walmart, an ICE truck was seen parked nearby. Plainclothes agents are watching the park.

You can either choose to speak up about Immigration policy and stated the wrongdoing against many undocumented immigrant families or stay silent knowing that there is something that can be done.

As an individual, I have seen many undocumented families face numerous of challenges from making the decision to come to another country for the safety of their families to being accepted because they want to have the opportunity to have a dignified life like everyone else. These families will need to looking over their shoulders to make sure that ICE will not stop them and eventually deported them if they cannot provide proof of citizenship.

Many individuals who are undocumented have qualified for the DACA program that was proposed by former president Barack Obama which grants protection to those individuals from being deported for a specific term. Unfortunately, there are many who still did not qualify for the DACA program and have no protection against ICE.

Children are dealing with Consequences of Undocumented Families being separate

By Associated Press

The cases are usually that the children are U.S. citizens and the parents are not. This can mean that these children are at high risk of negative psychological outcomes. These children are being torn from their parents and at times from their siblings that can also be undocumented. These families are known as ‘‘mixed-status’’ families because many decide to start a family and happens to be at a country that they are not legalized yet. Some of the high risk that these children face are poverty, discrimination, and other social conditions that can marginalize the children. These children are not at fault for the decisions of the adults.
