*A few curated resources in English on Social and Behaviour Change (SBC). These resources complement our “Intro Guide to Social and Behaviour Change.” For versions in French, Portuguese and Spanish click here.

  1. Adaptable Pocket Guide on Collective Change. In 10 slides you’ll discover references to sparks, core groups, public commitments, visible actions and recognition. Can you help us improve the guide? Suggestions welcome.
  2. One-page checklist on when to use the Collective Change approach. (Note: Important for preventing stigma and avoid wasting money!)
  3. Everybody Wants to Belong. UNICEF Middle East and North Africa Regional Office/MENARO. This guide describes the importance of social norms and environmental when designing Social and Behavior Change interventions.
  4. Handbook on Community-Led Total Sanitation. Plan International-Institute of Development Studies. This 90-page handbook is based on more than 10 years of experiences with Community Led Total Sanitation (CLTS). This resource covers key steps and criteria for positive collective change. A highlight: The mapping exercise on page 31.
