  1. Adaptable Pocket Guide: Entertainment Education, UNICEF West and Central Africa Region.
  2. Pop Culture with a purpose. Oxfam— Built on insights from experiences of Puntos de Encuentro (Nicaragua), Soul City Institute (South Africa) and Breakthrough (India), this 60-page guide is full of practical examples. Jump to page 42 for some smart advice in form of Entertainment Education principles.
  3. Entertainment education behind the scenes: Case studies for theory and practice. Palgrave Macmillan — This is a collection of essays from many of the top experts in the field of Entertainment Education. See essay 20 for a short “how-to-guide” for engaging with underserved populations.
  4. Using stories and media for social action and behavior change. Soul City Institute — This handbook is produced by one of the most-experienced organizations using Entertainment Education (also called by some “Edutainment”). The 138 pages are full of tips and examples. See chapter 5 to learn about the the pros and cons of different formats.
  5. UNICEF’s Social and Behaviour Change resources include a short overview of Entertainment Education (or “Edutainment” as it is sometimes called), with links to examples from across the globe.
