*A few curated resources in English on Social and Behaviour Change (SBC). These resources complement our “Intro Guide to Social and Behaviour Change.” For versions in French, Portuguese and Spanish click here.

  1. Adaptable Pocket Guide: Human Centered Design (UNICEF West and Central Africa Region, Beta version). This Social Change library has versions in French, Portuguese and Spanish.
  2. Human Centered Design Guide (IDEO) A practical guide on HCD that is 102 pages (and full of images — so easy on the eyes). This guide is from a highly-experienced design/innovation firm. Here you can find more one-page resources, access to free courses and a field guide available.
  3. Demand for Health Services Field Guide (UNICEF) With a thematic focus on health services, its 177 pages provide detailed guidance for practitioners to conduct a HCD process. (See also: www.hcd4health.org).
  4. Co-Creation Guide (UNICEF Democratic Republic of Congo/DRC). This 11-slide guide contains the basics to help you gather community members’ ideas, experiences and suggestions.
  5. Rapid Prototyping Guide: (UNICEF West and Central Africa and UNICEF/Nigeria, adapted from UNICEF Democratic Republic of Congo/DRC) This 7-slide guide gives examples of prototyping and encourages “testing to learn” rather “testing to validate.”
  6. Link library: A compilation of many resources (we’re hoping to save you time by sharing multiple links in one place: tools, training, etc.)
