  1. Making Government COVID-19 Communications More Effective. Ideas42. This short essay contains useful tips for government-led risk and crisis communication interventions. (Provides a good example of what to do, and what not to do, in a public health emergency. See also image below).
  2. Brief overview of Risk Communication from the World Health Organization.
  3. Crisis and Emergency Risk Communication (CERC) Manual. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Atlanta/USA. This 12-part online resource is designed for public health officials and spokespersons working with public health emergency response structures.
  4. Communicating risk in public health emergencies. World Health Organization (WHO). This guide for emergency risk communication policy and practice. Compiled in 57 pages, it contains recommendations for building trust and engaging with communities, integrating RC into response systems, and improving practice.
  5. Risk Communication Essentials: Get Social! World Health Organization (WHO) This online course on risk communication includes videos and presentation slides. “Module E” offers guidance for simulation exercises to test preparedness.
