No Shame In Standing Up For Your Beliefs

I always thought it was inside all of us to believe in something special and to stand up for it no matter what we have to sacrifice. But apparently when it comes to certain things that get linked to these beliefs, we are told to give up these beliefs and get new ones that normal people believe in.

What do we have to risk in order to be accepted and approved by those who look and hope for us to become young adults who are smart and wise enough to learn from our mistakes and be stronger than our fears and live a great life! But do we really have to risk these things in order to be accepted and approved and given peace for meeting society’s expectations and standards so we can stand up for “normal” beliefs in this world?

We can’t be afraid to be ourselves even if it means being rejected or disapproved or anything else. We must be ourselves because no one else can do that for us nor be us. There is only one you and only one me. So be the best you can be and don’t care what other people think about you and be more in tune with what you think about yourself because that’s more important!

Courage starts with showing up and letting ourselves be seen. ~ Beene Brown, Daring Greatly

We must take the leap of faith and risk with this big decision, like Demi Lovato in Camp Rock 2 (Can’t Back Down) quotes: “with every big decision, comes with an equally important share of the risk”. It’s our time to take back the power and the lives we’ve lost. It’s time to fight for what’s really and rightfully ours!

Prove to the world who you are and what you are truly capable of and you’ll be okay and your life will just be beginning! Have faith in the world and most importantly, yourself even if you struggle; you’re human, we all are!

You can’t be afraid to speak up, we all mess up even. I get it, we’re all the same. Every foster kid think we’re not allowed to say what we need or to stand up for ourselves. But we have to.

We will continue to mess up but that’s part of being human and it’s completely normal and okay! We must take risks and a leap of faith for the things we believe in, in order to get what we want! Because the world doesn’t work in our favour every time we ask it!

And though when we find ourselves lucky, it’s our responsibility to:

“When your lucky, it is your job to give something back. And when you see something wrong, to stand up and to say so. I’m not gonna apologize for standing up. Somebody has to.” – Callie

And believe me; it’s wort everything you are risking. Have faith in yourself, and know this is not too selfish to do such a thing.

Don’t go blowing something up that could be great just because you’re scared. – Rita
