Enough With This Gender-Equality Madness

We live in a world where people only talk about the things which are in their interest. I’m talking about very trendy topics nowadays which are feminism and gender equality. Women now have a powerful weapon in the name of feminism to get things in their favor, mostly for unreasonable things. Whenever there’s something which falls in their dislike zone, they tend to use ‘feminism grenade’ to their liking.

I’m a woman and I know our beautiful religion has given enough rights to us, that were not there before Islam. But to abuse those rights or to seek equality rather than seeking justice is plain stupidity, and something which the bad elements in the society have used for ages to make us (the women) a marketing tool. So the equality between different genders doesn’t make sense.

The best example I can give you is that the Holy Quran commands women to dress differently from men and hide their body with appropriate clothes because the temptation posed by the women is higher than the men. So how can one suppose to talk about gender equality? If a man is allowed to show few of his body parts, do you really think that it’s fine for a woman to do the same? Well, that is what’s happening nowadays. Let me remind you GOD has forbidden women to expose their beauty.

ALLAH/GOD says (interpretation of the meaning):

“O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks (veils) all over their bodies (i.e. screen themselves completely except the eyes or one eye to see the way). That will be better, that they should be known (as free respectable women) so as not to be annoyed. And Allah is Ever Oft‑Forgiving, Most Merciful”

[al-Ahzaab 33:59]

But this is one topic, there are a lot more things in which we cannot and should not try to match men. There is a verse in the Holy Quran which clearly states that men are maintainers and guardians of the women. They are the protectors of women and a good believer cannot defy GOD.

ALLAH/GOD says (interpretation of the meaning):

“Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allah has made one of them to excel the other, and because they spend (to support them) from their means”

[al-Nisa’ 4:34]

GOD has given women a highest rank when she becomes a mother. Islam offers women to lead a beautiful life as it keeps them blessed and protected. We just need to understand the ways of GOD because He knows better than we do. We shouldn’t compare ourselves to anyone. It’s just not the way GOD has created us. Both men and women are created with different strengths and weaknesses suited for different things better. There are things that women can and men can’t and vice versa.
