Hydrangeas in the Snow

Sky’s blue color has drained from the flowers,
Still holding on through the long cold winter.
Through wind-driven snow and cold rain showers,
Holding on for what, some long lost glitter?

Falling amongst the snowdrifts, it still shines,
Blue slowly fades away, rising skyward.
