Is It Common To Become More Insensitive As We Age?
I think it’s natural.
For someone who lives in a big city like me, do a little exercise: when we were kids, and we saw beggars or, worse, kids asking for money on the street, it was customary to be indignant and want to give them something. We wanted to help; we wanted to get them out of there, we wanted to treat them the way we would like to be treated if we were in their place.
