Red Grate

A sonnet

Drawing air into its mechanical,
Iron Lung. Metal slowly but surely,
Turning to flesh, always tyrannical,
Never-ending labor toils obscurely.

For thousands of years, this factory stood,
Souls working, deep, dark, caverns, beneath us.
Work twisted arthritic finger falsehood,
Fantastical contortions are shown thus.
