For the context, there are two things the poets of Indian sub-continent are most in love with; Moon and rain. Rest we all know what the British trade brought to the world.
By the way, it’s true that in 17th century British lords had presented a proposal to start the trade with moon people. So yeah, moon’s concerns are genuine here.
