AmeriCorps and Its Impact
AmeriCorps is a national service initiative run by the federal government. President Trump’s Administration discussed eliminating AmeriCorps in future federal budgets. I believe that AmeriCorps offers immense value to individuals, communities, and our nation overall and it should continue to receive federal funding. I hope that my passion for national service and insight on AmeriCorps will enable you to see the value as well.

This video catalogs some of the work being completed by AmeriCorps members in Texas. The state suffered heavily as a result of Hurricane Harvey and other severe storms. National service volunteers from across the country have responded and are doing their best to rehabilitate the area.
