Will The Cubs Repeat?

All of North America (except Cleveland and probably St. Louis) was hoping that the Cubs could pull through this year and do something that hasn’t been seen on the north side of Chicago in 108 years. That of course is bring a World Series title to the north side which hadn’t been done since 1908. After a game 7 victory the Cubs won their 3rd title in franchise history. Of course the new question is. What about next season? Will we win a 4th title? Can they win back to back titles just like they did in 1907, and 1908. Below are some reasons the Cubbies will be your 2017 World Series Champions.

Youtube user Just4Life XL gave his predictions on who would win each division in the MLB for the upcoming 2016–2017 season. He put the Cubs winning the NL Central with 101 wins, arch-rival St. Louis was picked to finish 2nd again, this time with 98 wins. This is huge alone because the NL Central is easily one of the toughest divisions in the MLB.

TotalProSports.com predicts the Cubs to win in 2017 and gives 8 reasons why.

I sat down with Patty Davis, a family friend of mine, and a lifelong Cubs fan to get her take on what the upcoming season, and if it means a repeat of 2016 in 2017.

Not only are the Cubs good, but some of the traditions that they hold with the north side faithful can’t be beat.

Coming fall next year we may very well see a magazine or newspaper cover like this.

In order to repeat, or even just win a title. A number of different tools need to be put in place. That ranges from the core group down on the field, all the way up to the behind the scenes people that manage how the team works on a daily basis. After winning one, that team knows what it takes to be the best, and see’s truly how difficult it is to be at the top raising the Commissioner’s Trophy.

The Chicago Cubs have had a lot of history throughout their course of existence. Unfortunately their has been quite a bit of bad history with losing. Between being known as “The Lovable Losers,” to the black cat that ran out in front of Ron Santo in the on-deck circle, to the Steve Bartman incident in 2003. However I believe this is a new chapter. A new chapter that washes all that negative history away. Combine a new winning tradition, with some of the classic traditions, such as Harry Caray’s famous “Take Me Out To The Ballgame” to throwing back a home run ball that the other team hit into the bleachers, to raising the W flag. With this current team we have now, I have a good feeling we will be seeing a lot of the W and a lot less of the L.
