Instagram Marketing Experiment: 1k Fans in 30 Days
Do you feel like it’s really hard to grow on Instagram?
I recently launched an Instagram Marketing class on Udemy, and here are the two challenge people face consistently when its comes to Instagram growth
- No ones like my photos (not reaching my target audience)
- I don’t have time to create compelling images
So, I wanted to do a simple Instagram marketing experiment and show that it can be done without a lot of investment.
I created a brand new Instagram account on 02/28/16: @iSocialYou
My goal is to grow this account to 1,000 followers without any Ads in 30 days. Also, I will not spend more than 20min per day on this account. Here is my strategy..
1 — Before getting started
Created a compelling bio (Included relevant keywords and website link)
Hashtag research: I used Hashtagify.me to find hashtags that are relevant to my niche. My target audience is social media marketers and online business owners.
Created and added 9 images right after creating this brand new account. No one likes an empty house. Right?
2 — Daily task list
Share 4–6 photos daily. These photos will be related to marketing tips, hacks, and business inspiration.
Add relevant hashtags to every single image
Re-share at least 2 photos from a well-known account (at least 25k + followers). Yes: I do want to catch their attention.
Engage with at least 5 photos daily. These will be meaningful comments and not just “Love it”
3 — Tools that I will use
These apps are FREE and you can create eye-catching images in seconds.
