Social media platforms work differently for every type of business. Dr. Rissy’s Writing and Marketing specializes in creating content for publication on a diverse number of platforms, as well as the creation of digital marketing strategies for businesses in any field.

If you are looking to take advantage of the benefits that come with creating content for a business-related social media account, the first thing you should do is identify your goals and your target. Depending on what you want to achieve and who do you want to direct your messages toward, you will need to work on certain social media platforms and leave other social media platforms aside.

My time as a freelancer has taught me that many potential clients can be found online. Therefore, my main goal while using social media is to improve lead generation — getting my page seen by people who might be in need of the services I offer.

To reach my goal, I need to inform people about my services in ways that are relevant to them. Above all, I want to let my potential clients know that I am an expert in my field and that they can achieve the best results possible if they decide to work with us.

Once I figured out what my goal is and what my message should consist of each time I post, I decided to choose two social media accounts that attract a user base most likely to respond positively to both my messaging and my goal. LinkedIn and Facebook are the best social media platforms when it comes to business content, since they let you interact with your audience in diverse ways.

LinkedIn gives me the opportunity to connect with people in the same field as me, plus I can find people and companies looking for an outsourced team to create their marketing strategy and write their content.

People who are interested in achieving better SEO ranking can be found on LinkedIn more than any other social media platform, which is great because that platform makes it easy for me to reach out and say that better SEO rankings are possible with the help of me and my team.

Facebook does things a little differently from LinkedIn, but that platform still allows me to post content that informs visitors about everything we do as a company, and how can we make our clients succeed. However, the main benefit that Facebook has to offer is the ability for businesses to host ads and manage ad campaigns through that platform.

The important thing that both platforms promote more than anything else is effective networking. Creating connections consequently creates referrals, and those are powerful tools when it comes to marketing.

Those are the best platforms for me because they help me achieve my goals. Which platforms are best for you and your business?
