Creative works of knowledge production

What is a zine? Pronounced ZEEN, this is a low-budget, DIY publication meant to share knowledge or experiences with people as a way of building community. These are typically made on paper and photocopied for dissemination. However, they can also be made using computer programs and hosted online.

Sociology is not confined to the classroom. It is something that we can use in our everyday lives to better understand the world around us and the issues we and others face. Therefore, we will be putting our knowledge into action! Moving from theory to praxis by creating zines. Check back in December for our final projects!
