More data on Echo usage
Experian released last week a survey conducted in May of Echo users that showed how they use their device. I’m not sure if there are any biases in this study or if the various users in the bars overlap but you can checkout the full report here.
The study also concluded a net promoter score of +19, which means of those surveyed, there were many more people actively promoting the product than detracting it. This is not surprising taking a quick peak at the latest reviews:
Over 80% used the Echo in a common area — a kitchen or a family room. One can conclude that Echo users are more social than non-Echo users (or have families).
We saw similar results in placement and application for the Ubi, so it’s likely that these behaviours are universal for ambient voice interactive devices.
