French social video startup Brut has struck up a deal with one of France’s TV networks to distribute their videos on France Télévision. Does this signal a new chapter in the convergence of social and television?

“Brut’s videos are primarily produced for Facebook and then published on Twitter, YouTube, and Dailymotion. Instagram and Snapchat get their own native content. The company only launched in November and has already grown to more to more than 257,000 likes and 114 million video views on Facebook, including 44 million users in March.” (source BI)
