You can now create sections within Pinterest boards!
Another day, another big piece of news… Pinterest is about to get a whole lot more organized! Users will now be able to create sections within their boards — a bit like creating sub-folders on your computer.
According to Pinterest’s blog, the feature was being tested out with a number of dedicated pinners, and has been one of the most popular feature requests. The blog explains how it all works:
To start organizing, go to one of your boards and tap “Add section.” From there, pick the Pins you want to add and voila — you’ve got a section! You can save new ideas to it like you always do, like using the Pinterest save button for your browser.
This is pretty great news. You will be able to create, for example, proper planning boards for your holidays: create a board called “Vacation”, then divide it into sections like “Hotels”, “Things to see”, “What to pack”. Each will be easy to access and hyper-organized. For brands, it’s an opportunity to experiment with multilayered boards.
