As a way to address the problem expressed in intervention area we are concentrating on a cooperative model to define our final system.

Cooperative model

In cooperative model, all the stakeholders have equal stake and the earnings are distributed equally among all the stakeholders. This profit is used for the betterment of the system.

System Design

In this model all the inclusive and exclusive educational institutions will come together and collectively they will generate the database required to define the system. This data will be about the students, like how many PwDs a particular institute has and also what kind of offerings each institute can offer to this system. Then they collectively can take important decisions like defining the routes according to the demography, buses and student distribution depending on both PwDs and abled students.

Here, we have concentrated on small demographic area where a bus of a particular institute will pick up all the students from defined area and then drop them to the their respective institute. So, this bus has students not just of one institute but from different institutes and they can collectively work together.

Special Features

The bus will have some special features like ramp, lift for the wheelchair, voice boards guided pathways for the visually impaired etc. The bus manufacturers can then provide information regarding the manufacturing and maintenance of the bus and update other stakeholders with the upcoming technologies for better user experience.

Enable India can provide their expertise with the disabled. The drivers and co-drivers should undergo training program with enable India. Also some of the educational institutions members should come together and form a wellness team. This team will also have to go through this program so that the students can receive the care whenever necessary.

Application Touchpoints

Touchpoints

The digital platform will be provided by the third party company which is one of the stakeholders. They will get the data from the institution. This data would be regarding student details, expected functions the app should perform etc. Then the app developer company can provide their expertise and can make the application. Also the platform maintenance will be done by this company.

  • In some cases PWDs might have to reach the pick up point on their own.

Opportunities

  • Inclusive bus will make the system both social and economically sustainable.
  • Inclusive Transportation will help students in creating their own social networks.

Threats
