Social Tables Welcomes Kiran Hebbar as Chief Operating Officer

It is with great pleasure and tremendous excitement that we welcome Kiran Hebbar to Social Tables as our Chief Operating Officer.

In this role, Kiran will oversee Finance, Product, and Engineering. He will be reporting directly to our CEO, Dan Berger, and working closely with our teams to define and execute on our product roadmap, recruit the top talent that will support it, and fuel industry-changing innovation.

With over ten years of investing experience and ten years of operating experience in technology, software development, and marketing experience in companies spanning software, Internet, and technology-enabled services domains, Kiran has a diverse background with a track record of success.

Kiran is joining Social Tables after a decade as general partner at Vienna, Va.-based Valhalla Partners, one of the DC Tech’s historic VCs. His companies have raised a total of $150mm and he has served on more than a dozen boards including Adaptly, Fishbowl Marketing, PlaceIQ, Shareablee, Geomagic, and Zonoff.

Prior to joining Valhalla Partners, Kiran was the Director of Product Management at RichFX, a venture-backed rich media applications company targeting e-commerce retailers. He orchestrated the conceptualization, development and market launch of RichFX’s SaaS platform, and marketed products to over 200 online retailers.

Before RichFX, Kiran was a Product Manager at Siebel Systems where he managed CRM products for high-tech, semiconductor and industrial manufacturing verticals. He began his career as a software engineer at Bentley Systems, a $600m CAD company, where he developed 3D mechanical CAD software products and managed offshore development partners.

Kiran has a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on CAD and computer-aided-manufacturing (CAM) from the University of Maryland. And, Kiran holds an MBA from Wharton where he majored in Entrepreneurship and Finance. Fun fact: Sundar Pichai, Google’s current CEO, was in the year above him.

We checked in with Kiran to ask him what he’s most excited about, and he shared, “I’m delighted to be a part of Social Tables. In the past few weeks I have already learned so much about the phenomenal company and culture you have built here. I can’t wait to work on bringing new products to our customers and to our industry.”

Please join us in welcoming Kiran!
