We believe meetings and events strengthen human connection. Face-to-face events stand out as a place for genuine human connection and this is more important than ever in today’s day and age. Our mission is to create a world where every face-to-face event achieves great things. Over the past two years we have witnessed this come to life through the community space we created in our office.

On January 28, 2016 we held a joint press conference alongside Mayor Muriel Bowser, the Obama Administration, and the Washington DC Economic Partnership (WDCEP). We pledged to host 100 community events by the end of 2017. We surpassed our goal by the end of 2016, a year before we anticipated being able to do so. As of December 2017 we are proud to announce we have doubled our goal and have hosted 200 community events at Social Tables HQ.

The Events

Over the past 24 months we have welcomed over 14,000 people to Social Tables HQ, as we’ve hosted a range of events including Board Meetings, award ceremonies, meet ups, and seminars. Notable events have included DC Fem Tech Awards, StartUp Grind DC Panel, and the Food Waste Summit.

We’ve advocated for bringing tech focused startups to the city by partnering with DC Tech MeetUps. DC Tech Meetups has grown to over 18,000 members since 2011 and ranks as one of the largest Meetups in the world. We are proud to be able to support its mission by hosting groups such as Startup Grind DC, NodeDC, Full-Stack DC, DC, DC Digital Analytics, and DataKind DC.

We’ve been advocates for diversity in tech and have empowered women-centric events to flourish through our event partnerships with Bossed Up Bootcamp and Women Who Code. We’ve continued our partnership with The Vinetta Project, a high growth female founders venture challenge, and we will be welcoming them back to our space in 2018.

We’ve joined forces with entrepreneurial focused organizations such as the Global Good Fund, a 12-month program supporting the leadership development of young social entrepreneurs across the globe, and Georgetown University’s Entrepreneur of the Year Awards.

And finally, we’ve built up the hospitality and events community by hosting monthly mixers such as Metro Event Specialists and the National Association of Catering Executives.

The Venue

We designed our space to be able to transform into a venue for different types of meetings and events such as our company-wide all hands, holiday parties, education conferences, happy hours and networking events.

This is our venue space during the day, a functional office environment for meetings, employee breaks and lunches.
