Coronavirus killed your priorities

We’re dealing with a humanitarian crisis like none that we’ve seen in current times.

Coronavirus is killing people. Though I’m happy to see that most businesses and governments around the world are waking up and understanding that this is a global threat that must be stopped now by taking decisive and urgent measures. So, I have hope.

Coronavirus is killing businesses. Though some governments have already promised to help fight that, businesses help each other, and business owners work hard to fight this. So, we’ll get through this!

Coronavirus is killing your business priorities. And they are dead. Or maybe they should be dead as priorities are clearly changing and there’s nothing you can or should do about it.

The whole status quo is dead.

What was a top priority a couple of weeks ago, might not even be a nice-to-have today.

What was a perfect plan before Coronavirus might now be the totally wrong option.

What was urgent might turn to be insignificant.

So you need to audit and reassess all your plans, in light of the current situation.

We (at SocialBee) were working on a full app and website redesign. We were working on various features. We were working on new guides and publishing some of our existing guides. We were planing various marketing campaigns. We were planning to start a polished but casual blog that can complement our more evergreen content.

Those plans are gone. Killed by the Coronavirus. And that’s fine.

We might still work on some of them, while shelving others, to make room for the rapidly shifting priorities.

Out of chaos and uncertainty, hope and opportunity can arise as well.

And so, instead of a well-polished blog, we’ve decided to share part of our content on this new Medium publication.

We might not have the ideal custom graphics or might not be able to fully control your viewing experience, but it allows us to move rapidly.

As Charles Darwin put it — “It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent; it is the one most adaptable to change.”.

Stay safe,

Ovi
