Expanding Our Team!

Introducing our new team members, feature updates and building an in-house design team.

It’s safe to say that the last few weeks here at Sociall HQ have been super busy. If you’ve been keeping up to date with us, we’re sure you have realised how rapidly our team has been expanding… and we’re not done yet!

With a solid development team already in play, Sociall is also building an in-house marketing team and in-house design team. For months we have been gathering talented people to join our project and we love sharing our new members with you.

Without further ado, we present to you our two newest members!

Courtney-

Courtney is the CMO of Sociall. She will be strategically recruiting over the next few weeks to build our talented marketing team, with the intention of creating a solid brand footprint for Sociall as we officially launch, post-open beta. Courtney’s team holds accountability for our social, PR, digital, events and partnerships presence, and will be working hard to grow audience and awareness for Sociall in the coming months.

Yuki-

Yuki is our new frontend developer. He will be joining Amir and Andy in the skilled frontend department.

His expertise is in SPA development, mainly using Angular.

Building Our In-House Design Team

Sociall has been working hard to on-board an in-house design team. We have a UI Designer and UX Lead starting in just a few weeks. We’ll make introductions as soon as they start with us.

New Feature Release

We will be pushing an update to the closed beta early next week with two new major features.

Data Export—Export your data from Sociall whenever you like as a compressed ZIP folder. This includes all of your data (such as posts, friends, etc) and all image uploads. Requesting this data export can take some time as it requires our systems to package all of your data to a ZIP file, so when using this new feature, please be patient.

Account Delete—The ability to permanently delete your account from Sociall at any time. This literally removes all of your data and history from our systems as if it were never there to begin with. We do not store copies or backups of your data. Once your account is deleted, it is deleted forever and cannot be reversed. Many other mainstream social networks do not allow this, and instead they simply “suspend” your account and keep all of your data on their servers.

As always, the update will also contain many stability improvements, bug fixes, optimisations, and more.

Facebook Migration Tool

The Facebook Migration Tool is still a work in progress. The backend APIs are complete and we’re in the process of integrating them into the frontend now. Once that is complete, we will have to go through an approval process with Facebook. After they have approved the application, we will need to rigorously test it in production before moving it into the beta. So far, this is the only feature that is blocking the beta from going into an open state.
