Whichever way you look at it, the social media as a whole really became the biggest platform for web activity.

Meaning that hundreds, literally hundreds of millions of unique visitors browse social media, making up a prime target for your advertising activity, right? And millions of audience will translate to millions in ad revenues. I’ll tell you how! below

But though Facebook or to a much more limited degree YouTube have both been labeled nice ad tools by agencies, their strategy lacks.

Talking about advertising — the most important thing that you need to worry about is the audience, right? Hence, the size of the audience means the most (because its size also ensures diversity, meaning the targeting).

However, despite the common misconception, simple websites such as news, blogs etc no longer comprise the biggest chunk in the Internet’s hosts/hits statistics. And the main thing it lacks is the understanding of how people perceive ads. Interrupting them watching a comedy special with a drill 30 ad-roll? Not good. The same goes for asking some off the cuff questions on Facebook, while having the “sponsored post” mark next to it. What we all fail to understand is that people simply distrust the standard advertising.

This means that you will be eligible to lead the masses in their quest for both good, quality original content produced by you and nice ad listings if you have:

1) a YouTube/Snapchat channel (that must cover a specific topic, and not just be about nothing & everything, all over the place, no matter how small your number of subscribers is)

2) a Facebook/Instagram page (that has at least one thousand unique visitors/followers, no matter what kind of a topic you are covering there)

Regardless of what anybody says about the advertising industry, including the notion that it is dead and there’s simply no way out for advertisers — there’s a way.

Just like in the saying that states that where there’s a will there’s a right, some of the most advanced ad agencies have already discovered what will be the next successor to no-more-effective contextual ads.

Shiny and bright, just like its newly lit stars (also known simply as influencers), the world of social media offers a brand new medium for ad placement.

This type of social media presence allows you for a great headstart, simply based on the fact that the former blob of social media channels values specific topics over anything — so that the audience sticks to you for their daily supply of goodness, and the latter one values vague, generic fun overall — meaning the more initial followers you have there — the better.

But how much can you earn with that, I hear you ask?

Well, on average, the market values this new innovative type of advertising more than the standard one.

Earning up to a $100 or more (varying on the niche) per each 1000 active followers is a reality!

More than that, you placing ads strategically in your channel will entices the audience much more lucratively than the ordinary advertising does. Meaning, while old regular ads get in your way, irritate you and oftentimes to a point when you block them, the social media influencers put a nice face on it.

This means, that should there have been an actual replacement for Google Adwords system, only with all the websites and blogs replaced as platforms with YouTubers, Pinteresters and Snapchatters, the average earning per 1000 views would be around $20–25, depending on the niche too, of course. Here’s an example to calculate with: this.

That’s given a fact that the whole beauty about social media is that even some of the most obscure interest, hobby or cause can garner thousands of fans.

So, considering the very experimental nature the social media influencers advertising industry has as of now, as agencies and big-name advertisers prefer use it for a list of niches, relatively more often than for others.

Hence, social media influencers are welcome to take notes:

1) Gaming community (aka CS: GO; Total War series etc)

1) Beauty & cosmetics

2) Movies/TV/Book centric (e.g. Star Wars; Harry Potter)

3) DIY (how-tos about creating/fixing/decorating stuff

4) Traveling

But no matter which niche you are in, be sure to add an email for business inquiries and be on a lookout for a new money stream, all thanks to the social media influencer trend.
