Listening in Advent: James MacMillan’s “O Radiant Dawn”

One of my current favorite Christmas CDs is Harry Christopher’s The Sixteen’s, “Song of the Nativity.” The great surprise on my first listen was that the album ends with James MacMillan’s, “O Radiant Dawn,” from his Strathclyde Motets. A stunning ending to a beautiful Christmas offering. This is lovely album, especially if you want to escape from the typical consumption and consumerism of Christmastime in America. Enjoy!
