Quantum Material that Listens

What is Quantum Material? And Can I Tell It My Secrets Like I Can To My Psychotherapist?

New Quantum Materials being developed are created so that they listen to you… but not about how you can’t hold down a boyfriend. Scientists are attempting to create a material that “thinks” like your brain, and can identify neurological diseases throughout the brain. Although this future is still a long time from now, researchers at Purdue have been able to make this Quantum Material able to receive inputs and “listen” to the brain. Through tiny currents flowing in the brains of animals, this material was bale to pick up those signals and listen to their regularity. It is not able to send and relay this information, yet alone think for itself yet. However, it is a step in the direction of implants that could monitor our health on a daily basis and warn us if something is wrong or strange. Precisely, this new material is able to detect levels of Dopamine in the brain, which has been extremely hard to detect in previous experiments and methods.

Does That Mean I Will Be Ale To Use My Brain As A Flash Drive?

Not necessarily, but maybe in a future not far from here these objects could be widespread. This product could be implanted into children, and would allow us to observe their health during the phases in which they can not actually communicate. Also, it would let us track our Dopamine levels along with other chemicals to understand if we were susceptible or have early-onset Parkinson's. Also, as quoted in the article, “ ‘We can confidently say that this material is a potential pathway to building a computing device that would store and transfer memories,’ he said.” This could open up a brand new frontier of electronics, and it could be crazy.
