Hey guys, nice to see you in March! After a surprising snow, Spring is on its way!

As is know to all, there are many parks here in England, and taking a walk in parks or sitting on the benches having a chat with friends is always a hobby of people living here. As for Sheffield, it’s the best city for people who love to lead a slow life without much traffic and industrial noises.

It’s nice to be here for half a year, and I finally got Spring in Sheffield. Can’t wait to share with you all! So today, I’d like to introduce some attractive sightseeing places in Sheffield to you.

Crookes Valley Park and Weston Park

The two parks are on both sides of the Mushroom Lane, and are very close to the teaching buildings including Arts Tower and Firth Court. Therefore, students can always enjoy amazing views when passing by. Of course, if you have some spare time, I would strongly recommend you to go into them and take a seat either on the benches or on the grass. Here is extremely cozy and agreeable on sunny days. With a cup of coffee and some snacks and sandwiches, chatting with your friends at the same time or just sitting alone, you can fully experience a leisurely spring life.

South Street Park

Located on the hillside behind Sheffield Railway Station, cherry blossoms can form a unique landscape together with pink trams and trains. Besides, this is one of the best places to see sunset. The sun will start to set around 6 o’clock, with the sunset glow reflecting the pink clouds, matching the buildings of different heights, making me couldn’t stop pressing the shutter. Imagine that two people meet here when wandering around, starting to talk about stories of their own when while enjoying the scenery. What a romantic start, isn’t it?

(Since the cherry blossoms were not in bloom when I went there, the picture here is the cherry blossoms downstairs of my apartment.)

Sheffield Botanical Gardens

There are a variety of plants in Sheffield Botanical Gardens, and every season you go, you will have different discoveries. I have heard from someone that, sunlight is the best filter in the world. I can’t agree more. Under the gentle and warm sunshine, every plant is full of vitality, creating a colourful view all together. Though it is a little bit far from our common living area, I still recommend you to come here and to feel the breath of spring.

That’s all for my brief introduction. But the wonderful spring in Sheffield is far more than these short sentences. So come here, let’s enjoy it together!
