Coworking spaces are booming. In fact, Entrepreneur tell us that these spots are proving to be “economic engines that produce prosperity for owners, employees and service providers alike”. In the US, for example, the biggest coworking company, WeWork, has reached a 20 billion dollars valuation last year.

Porto is not an exception on this movement and in the last years the city has received more than ten new coworking spaces. We couldn’t keep that information for us and here you have our list of the 5 best coworking spaces in Porto:

OPO’LAB: The motto of OPO’Lab is making your ideas a reality. This coworking space is a multidisciplinary center dedicated to think and explore the creative use of new technologies in architecture, construction, design and other artistic fields, by promoting research, education, and cultural activities. OPO’Lab has actually a real lab with 2D and 3D CNC machines that can print your idea and make it real. On the coworking space you can rent a “desk + chair + net” for 10€ a day to 400€ if you want to rent a full month and bring 5 more associates with you.

They currently have three locations in the Porto area: Porto i/o Downtown, Porto i/o Riverside and Porto i/o Seaside and soon they will be opening a fourth. Porto Startup Coffee and Porto Codes are only two of many events which happen on these 3 modern office spaces. The rental prices go from 12,5€ (day) to 130€ (month) and you can even have a virtual office for 30€ a month.

CRU Cowork: CRU Cowork is located in the artistic quarter of the city of Porto. Since 2012, it gathers creatives with different backgrounds. Their monthly rental models “release users from heavy fixed pays with the guarantee of having water, power or internet service contracts, usually subject to installation costs and loyalty programs”. Here you can have a shared table for 30€ + VAT a week or 55€ a month. You also have a rental option for an individual table and double studio.

Typographia: Located in the Cordoaria area, Typographia-Cowork is a centennial building in the heart of the Historic Center of the City of Porto, offering its users excellent working conditions and a privileged scenario of inspiration and contemplation of the city. The space has a sun terrace and a lounge and kitchen area as well. For those who want a permanently fixed space, Typografia has a monthly option for 115€. With the nomad option — that offer you a shared table — the price is lower, 70€.

Now Porto: In the northern entrance of Porto, Now Porto is one of the most recent coworking spaces in the city. Open from 9AM to 7PM, the spot offers plenty of meeting rooms, an indoor and outdoor auditorium, a lounge area, a coffee space and, of course, free wifi. This coworking space has a singular partnership with FINSA, a multinational global brand operating with wood transformed products and the plan is to open another space in Lisbon this year. Here you have several plans since “the flex” from 15€ (a day) or 100€ (a month) to 450€ (month) if you have a six-member team and you want a studio just for you.
