Last time I borrowed the book “ The Presentation Secrets of Steve Jobs: How to Be Insanely Great in Front of Any Audience” wrote by Carmine Gallo. To be honest, I am not really like to read books. But this book attracts my attention. It talks about the presentation of steve jobs. It’s a great overview of ability with solid real-world examples pulled from Jobs’ work. We all know that Steve Jobs is a successful businessman. He pushed Apple products to the world’s top. We can put it in this way if we know about the presentation secrets of Steve Jobs, then we are close to the success. I have to say that the writer spent long times obsessing over Steve Jobs’ presenting skills. There is some important thought of this book I will analyze below.

That tension is the making of the book:The ask yourself “What am I really selling?” What is the one big idea you want to leave with your audience? This idea also is mentioned in the class a few weeks ago. Professor asks us if you want to write a work memo you have to clarify who is your audience. Only if you clear who is your audience and what you want to express for, you can do the presentation well. It should be at most 140 characters or less, memorable, and written in the subject-verb-object sequence.
The second point of view is key terms. “Text and oral presentations are not just less efficient than pictures for retaining certain types of information; they are way less efficient. If the information is presented orally, people remember about 10 percent, tested seventy-two hours after exposure. That figure goes up to 65 percent if you add a picture.” — John Medina. This passage decline that It should be less to 140 characters, memorable, and written in the subject-verb-object sequence. If you want your audience keep their memory of your presentation, you have to leave the short key terms to make everything keep in the audience‘s mind.
That is the important two things I learned from this book. If you want to find more, please read this book carefully. It really helps for your improvement of presentation.
