Here are five Medium authors who write about software testing.
1. Vickie Li
Vickie Li is one of my favorite writers on Medium. While other writers on this list have a specific testing niche, her articles cover a wide range of topics, including: entry-level barriers to tech jobs, remote code vulnerabilities, and cheatsheets.
She also make some pretty stellar infographics, so make sure to check her out.
2. Zhimin Zhan
Zhimin Zhan is a top writer in the Software Testing tag, so if you follow that topic, you’ve probably seen his articles before.
Zhimin has an interesting niche. He breaks down different types of automated testing test cases, and walks readers through how to correctly configure those tests.
You can see more in a recent article explaining how to properly set up automated tests for creating a client invoice.
3. Maciej Rojek
Maciej Rojek writes almost exclusively about software testing on Medium. He’s an automated tester for Madison Logic, a software development firm, and knows his stuff.
If you’ve recently made the switch from Selenium to Cypress, here’s a great article by Maciej about testing pagination with Cypress.
4. Hales + Software Testing Pipeline
Look, I’ve gotta call myself out here. I run the Software Testing Pipeline, a Medium publication dedicated to high-quality articles for those new to the career field, and those looking to get their first software testing job.
We’re always looking for new perspectives on testing, so if you want to write for us, head over to our submissions page.

As software testers, we all know that there is a lot of information to be learned and kept up with. Between new tools, techniques, and methodologies popping up all the time, it can be hard to stay on top of things. That’s why it’s important to read as much as we can from experts in the field, in order to learn from their experiences and keep our testing practices evolving.
Sometimes, the hardest part about learning is figuring out who to listen to.
